Description
This Organic Sweetener Based Gelling Agent is made with organic erythritol, agar-agar, pectin, potato starch and arrowroot starch. It offers a wonderful alternative to conventional gelling sugar. Use it to whip up heavenly marmalades or jams without needing to use conventional sugar.
Use:
- To make a fruit spread, combine 1.5 kgs of chopped fruit and 400 g of the Organic Sweetener Based Gelling Agent and stir. Cook the mixture, stirring constantly until it boils. Fill into glasses, seal the glasses tightly, then flip them onto their lids to cool. Store the glasses in a cool and dark place. Store in the refrigerator after opening!
Tip:
- If you don't have enough fruit on hand to meet the 1.5kg recommendation, you can amend the recipe, just make sure that the ratio of fruit to gelling agent remains 4:1.
- For example: 1,000 g fruit = 270 gelling agent
