The green cardamom, with its small, aromatic black seeds is freshly ground and included in desserts, exquisite beverages, milk and coffee. It is also used to settle stomach cramps. Cardamom is one of the oldest and most valuable spices in the world, alongside saffron and vanilla. It was very popular among the ancient Greeks and Romans. The spice originates from South India and can be found in Sri Lanka, Guatemala, Tanzania and Brazil today.
