Description
Organic Red Lentils are the ultimate choice for making velvety, smooth dishes. The hulled and halved lentils soften and break down naturally as they cook, and act as an excellent natural thickener for sauces. This makes them the ideal ingredient for making an authentic Indian style dal or deliciously creamy curries. The perfect pantry staple for those who are short on time but love full-bodied flavours and a velvety texture.
Preparation:
- Soaking is not required.
- Bring 150g of lentils to the boil in double the amount of water.
- Simmer for 10-15 minutes with the lid closed.
- Season with salt only at the end of the cooking time.
