Rapunzel Organic Himalayan Basmati Rice - Natural / Whole Grain, 500 g

Basmati rice is one of the most popular varieties of fragrant rice known for its characteristic nutty-earthy aroma. It stays fluffy, has a firm texture and is non-sticky even after cooking and is perfect for side dishes, stir-fries, fillings, and salads. This variety is natural and offers all the valuable nutrients of whole grain rice.

Note: The fragrant rice is cultivated at the foothills of the Himalayas in the states of Uttarakhand and Uttar Pradesh in India. Local farming families laboriously grow the traditional "Dehradun Type 3" variety and follow the "Code of Practice on Basmati Rice" strictly. The true-to-type rice seeds enable the farmers to stay independent and create a solid basis for a good life.

The manufacturer's recommendation for preparation: For 250 g of rice, take three times the amount of water and bring to the boil. Add the rice and simmer for 25 to 30 minutes over low heat with the lid on. Turn off the heat and allow the rice to rest for 5 minutes with the lid closed.
